Each event brings together unforgettable mountain running experiences, festive race venue activations and a celebration of grit, tenacity and that indescribable element that can only be felt on the finish line of life-changing physical achievement.
As a brand worn and used by people every day, as well as many of South Africa’s leading extremists in some of the most inhospitable places on earth, First Ascent products are designed to
optimise comfort under harsh conditions, with technical features that save lives.

Dating back to October 2010, when the inaugural Helderberg Mountain Challenge was hosted by the pioneering event organiser, Wildrunner, the BOS Sports Mountain Challenge Series, amplified by Jaybird, holds a premium position on the South African trail running calendar. The 2019 edition welcomes a few exciting changes, without deviating from the event format or the quality offering of the series. It is with great excitement that Wildrunner welcomes First Ascent in to the fold. The alignment of two like-minded brands will result in many mutual benefits, not least of which additional reward for the heroes of this story; the runners.
